Online Desk: Thriller is the first choice of most of the viewers among the web series. And if it is a cop thriller that is made with police personnel, then the audience is waiting for its release. Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha’s first web series debut is based on a police story. So Amazon Prime’s new series ‘Dahad’ has all the ingredients to attract the audience.
Dahad can be distinguished from other series in many ways. Like other thrillers, this film has no psychopaths, no action scenes of deadly fights, and even no chase scenes to excite the audience. But what is there is called ‘Magjastra’ in Feluda language. Rima Kagti and Zoya Akhtar have developed the character of Sonakshi’s police officer Anjali Bhatti with care.
Any thriller gets tense when the crime starts to get deeper. Sonakshi’s character has done exactly that from the beginning. Anjali is the officer in charge (OC) of Mandawa police station in Rajasthan. It was there that the bodies of women who had committed suicide were discovered in public toilets and in different parts of the village. Sonakshi assumes that each of those incidents are related to each other. All suicides have a particular pattern, feels Anjali.
Within the first two episodes of the eight-episode series, viewers learn who the culprit really is. But many more episodes are needed to identify that person. Also, the social hurdles a female cop has to face after donning the uniform is also explored in this series. All in all, viewers who like psychological thrillers will enjoy the tense eight episodes of Dahad starring Sonakshi, Vijay Varma, Soham Shah.
