International Desk: 13 thousand 464 prisoners have memorized the Holy Quran while sitting in prison in Morocco. This achievement was made possible by the measures taken by the country’s prison authorities.
Citing the General Board of Prison Administration, the report informed that, in recent years, the administration in collaboration with the country’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has been conducting sermons and Islamic guidance programs in Moroccan prisons. Along with this, efforts are being made to teach Islamic values to the prisoners by teaching the Holy Quran, memorizing the necessary prayers and hadiths.
In the future, this kind of program will continue in the country and the number of institutions implementing the Quran Majeed Hefz program in prisons will be increased in the future.
