Lifestyle Desk: The world’s oldest man is 112 years old. Celebrating the new year, Tinniswood said there was ‘no particular secret’ to his long life.

Tinniswood became the world’s oldest living man last April after the death of 114-year-old Juan Vicente Pérez Mora. He lives in a nursing home in Southampton, England. He is a fan of Liverpool football team.
Tinniswood was quite active at a young age. He used to walk a lot. But he does not consider himself different from others. He said, birth and death are not in anyone’s hands, either you will live long or you will live less.
Tinniswood said he would take his entry into 112 as normal as anything else. In his words, I have no idea why I have lived this long. I can’t think of any particular mystery behind it.
Twenty years after the founding of favorite football club Liverpool, Tenniswood was born. He saw all the trophy games won by the club except 1901 and 1906. Tinniswood was only two years old at the time of the First World War. He was 27 years old when World War II started.
He was then working as an administrator in the Army Pay Corp. His duty was to locate trapped troops and arrange food supplies. Now Tinniswood is the world’s oldest living man as well as an eyewitness to World War II.
Married John Tinniswood in 1942. His wife’s name is Blodwen. He met Blodwen at a dance in Liverpool. Their daughter Suzanne was born in 1943. His wife Blodwen died in 1986 after a long marriage of 44 years.
Tenniswood doesn’t follow any special rules except to eat fish and chips every Friday. He said, “I eat whatever they give me.” So do others. I don’t have any special diet.’
At first, the late Queen Elizabeth II received greetings. Elizabeth was about 14 years younger. He also receives greetings from King Charles III.
Asked if he thought the world had changed much since childhood, Tinniswood said, “Not much difference.” Previously, the world’s oldest man was Jiroimon Kimura of Japan. He lived to 116 years and 54 days and died in 2013. And currently the world’s oldest living woman is 116-year-old Tomiko Itooka of Japan. ‘
