During this time, there are many seasonal fruits besides mango, jam, litchi, jackfruit, pineapple, jamrul, latkon, etc. in the market. No matter how many fruits are available in the market, the price of mangoes is a little higher this month. Apart from this, there are few fruits as delicious as ripe mangoes. But you need to be aware that it is chemical free or not. Because formalinized mango can cause serious damage to your family.
Let’s see some ways to identify formalin-free mangoes-
Flies will sit: One thing must be noticed when buying mangoes, whether flies sit on the mango or not. If the mangoes are treated with formalin or carbide, the flies will never sit on the mangoes.
Mangoes will be white: When the mangoes are ripe, they have a kind of whiteness on them, they do not have that kind of color. But mangoes placed in formalin or other chemicals are beautiful, unblemished and clean.
Mangoes have spots on them: Ripe mangoes have spots on their skin. The skin of chemically ripened mangoes is blemish-free. Because, in the raw state, the paddy is dried with formalin and carbide.
Taste-Smell: After buying the mango and putting it in your mouth, if you see that the mango has no aroma or the mango has no sour-sweet taste, you will understand that some chemical like formalin has been given to that mango.
Color variation in the peel: The skin color of the mango is also different. Ripe mangoes have a slightly darker color at the beginning. Mangoes ripened with chemicals turn yellow in color. Several other varieties of mangoes, including Himsagar, remain green even when ripe. When the tree is ripe, black spots appear on the skin of these mangoes. When ripened with chemicals, the mango skin becomes smooth and beautiful.
