Student died hit by a train while making TikTok video

Staff Reporter: A student named Labib Mridha (17) was killed by a train while making a TikTok video in Faridpur Sadar Upazila.

The incident took place on Tuesday (June 11) around 7:30 pm at Keshavnagar village of Gerda Union of Sadar Upazila on the Rajbari-Bhanga railway line.

The deceased boy, Labib, is a resident of Harishava Mohalla, South Tepakhola area of ​​Mridha Sadar Upazila. Son of Liton Mridha. He passed the SSC exam from Faridpur Zilla School this year.

According to local residents and police sources, around Tuesday evening, he was sitting on the railway line in Keshavnagar village of Gerda Union with two motorcycles to chat and make tiktok videos. At that time, when the Dhaka-bound Benapole Express train arrived, Labib Mridha’s three friends who were with him could quickly move away, but Labib was hit by the train and killed on the spot.

On receiving the information, Kotwali police station first reached the spot, then the railway police from Rajbari came and recovered the body from the spot.

Confirming the truth, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajbari Railway Police Station Somnath Basu said that the boy’s body was recovered after receiving information. It is initially known that he died on the spot when he was hit by a train while doing Tik Tok with his friends. Legal action in this regard is under process.’
